In order to expand the international market, the heyer international marketing platform has been formed through commercial collaboration to provide our customers with a full range of medical solutions.
Today, the heyer Group encompasses the medical care, health, and biotechnology sectors, with a comprehensive product portfolio covering anesthesia machines, ventilators, sleep apnea devices, oxygen therapy equipment, emergency care & first aid solutions, and self-testing products

heyer was founded in 1883 by the mechanical engineer Carl heyer in the famous spa-town Bad Ems.
In 1886, heyer developed the first inhalation system and established an inhalation facility for respiratory treatments in Bad Ems.
In 1896, heyer's respiratory systems and potents have been awarded by the Gold Medal in Baden-Baden /Germany for innovative products.
In the early 1900s, famous contemporaries, like the Czar of Russia, the Kings of Belgium and Norway came to Bad Ems to join the heyer inhalation therapy.
In the 1910s, expanded the product portfolio by various aerosol and oxygen-inhalation systems.
In the 1920s, Carl heyer jnr, took over the management of heyer and modernized the products.
In 1937, heyer's new factory was established in Bad Ems and is still today the place of operation.
In 1954, developed the first portable compressor operated inhalation system - heyer Piccolo.
In 1963, the new product line of heyer Anesthesia Units was established. in 1968, the first portable ultrasonic nebulizer heyer USE68 was developed.
In 1969, heyer established the Sekundant product line-Breathing Therapy And Ventilation Systems suitable for all patient categories including infants.
In 1982, launched heyer's fully modular anesthesia systems with integrated ventilator based on latest quality and safety standards.
In 1987, to honor the merits of our company, the city of Bad Ems dedicated a street to heyer and named it Carl- Heyer-Straße .
During the 1980s and 1990s, expanded the product portfolio of anesthesia systems to meet individual needs of the markets.
In 2001, contracted with US-based monitoring manufacturer DATASCOPE to provide heyer anesthesia systems for the US-market under the DATASCOPE trademark. Production transferred and licensing from Germany to the USA in 2005.
In 2022, heyer developed the VS500S neonatal ventilator, means that heyer's respiratory care product line for newborns and preterm infants.
In 2023, heyer developed new generation anesthesia workstation AG70, which won the Red Dot Design Award and German Design Award, and the multi-functional ventilator VT8000, which won the lF Design Award, both models support all types of patients use.

Czar Nicholas II found relief from asthma through heyer's oxygen therapy in Bad Ems, earning widespread acclaim among monarchs, including Norway's King Haakon VII and Belgium's King Leopold II, who commissioned custom gold-plated nebulizers.
During the 1918 influenza pandemic, heyer donated 200 emergency nebulizers to royal households. Over a century later, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the company delivered 50,000 ICU ventilators globally within 18 months, demonstrating its rapid response and production capabilities.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, heyer Medical AG maintained an impeccable safety record with zero COVID-19 infections among its production staff while fulfilling global demand. Despite severe supply chain disruptions, the company achieved a 99.3% on-time delivery rate for ventilators, delivering 50,000 units worldwide. This achievement not only highlighted heyer's exceptional manufacturing prowess but also underscored its profound sense of responsibility to global health.
